North America Missions

The Historical Archives of the Euro-Mediterranean Province of the Society of Jesus holds the documentation about missions established by Italian Jesuit in North America. IAJS fellow Claudio Ferlan is studying the case of Neapolitan Jesuits expelled from their homeland and evangelized the natives in New Mexico and Colorado. The present collection reproduce the archival material contained in volumes Rocky Mountains II and California II that are part of the Fondo Provincia Torinese, Provincia Torinese – Serie fotografica, Album 5.
